Don Plumb, M.Sc., has led teacher training workshops in Canada and overseas for over twenty years. He worked at TVOntario as an Education Officer for broadcast and online professional development and the Virtual Classroom. He taught secondary school Science for many years, and is co-author of a number of standard Science textbooks used across Canada and the USA including the book on cooperative learning, Structures for Success in Chemistry (2005, Kagan Publishing). He was for many years Co-Chair of the Great Lakes Association for Cooperation in Education (GLACIE). His particular interest is working with teachers to expand their repertoire of teaching strategies beyond PowerPoint and “chalk-and-talk”.
