Christine Schmalenbach, Ph.D., is a substitute professor on the chair of Inclusive Education and Emotional and Social Development at the University of Erfurt, Germany. She is a special education teacher in the areas of social and emotional development and learning difficulties, a teacher trainer, and an art therapist.
Her dissertation on CL has been published under the title “Learning Cooperatively under Challenging Circumstances - Cooperation among Students in High-Risk Contexts in El Salvador”. Her research interests include the relevance of context and culture for the implementation of CL, the use of CL methods and a consideration of group processes in the work with students with social and emotional difficulties, and participatory and transformative research. |
