Céline Buchs, Ph.D. in Social psychology, is a senior lecturer in the department of Educational sciences at the University of Geneva. Her work is related to social influence in academic situations (current project from Swiss National Science Foundation on ‘The Struggle for Competence in Academic Selection’ http://www3.unil.ch/wpmu/struggle/), and to cooperative learning. She is involved in training for pre-service and in-service teachers in Switzerland and France. She received the 2010 Outstanding Contributions to Cooperative Learning Award from the American Educational Research Association (Cooperative Learning: Theory, Research, and Practice Special Interest Group). |
