International Conference in Nagoya

Cooperative Learning in Japan & the World
Celebration of the 30th Aniversary of IASCE

posterThis will be the 2nd international conference in East Asia dedicated to the study of cooperation in education, after the successful 2004 Singapore conference. From its founding in the 1970s, IASCE has encouraged the dissemination and development of cooperative learning and related educational practices. The significance of cooperative learning has been recognized all over the world, and the waves generated by cooperative learning have reached Asian shores, blending with Asia’s own promotive educational activities. This conference is a celebration of the efforts of IASCE and its past 30 years of achievements. It will set the stage for generative conversations on future developments in education.

Although JASCE is a young organization, formed only in 2004, Japan as a country has many decades of experience with cooperative learning in multiple forms and settings. We at JASCE see this conference as an opportunity to share our rich history with colleagues from other countries and to contribute to the development of cooperative learning around the world.
